Ventilating a Van is a must.

In the colder winter months condensation turns the back of the van into a beautiful melody of plink, plink plonk as the condensation drips all over the carried load. In the summer heat builds and builds because the air cannot be replaced. Very dangerous if you are responcible for transporting animals (such as a vet). Keeping an animal, pet dog etc cool is vital,but did you know "ALL" rotating roof vents only extract! There's nothing pumping cooler air back into the vehicle. Granted you could use an electric vent which offers both Intake and Extract but they require power. So if you leave the vehicle stationary for long periods they may flatten your battery and a standard wind driven roof vents are inadequate for animals.

However, if you fitted both a Wind driven roof vent and floor vent you have the best of both. The floor vent allows air flow "IN" and the roof vent extracts air "OUT" creating a "Thru-Flow" of air all without power.

Some gases are heavier than air and therfore drops to the floor, making it very hard for roof vents to succsefully extract the gas.

Clearly there is a need for a vent to be mounted into a van, but not everyone likes to see them. So this floor mounted vent is very covert.
